Get Involved

How You Can Get Involved?

Detailed information can be found in the menu on the left, but here's some ideas:

Make a Donation

HFACT relies on generous donations from its members and the general public to provide support and services.

Donations are essential to raising the funds we need to run family camps, provide support functions such as information sessions, peer group support, subsidise medical bracelets.

Fund Raising

Fund raising is an essential element of HFACT’s overall revenue. HFACT fund raises to cover costs that are not funded by other sources of revenue. Assistance with fund raising is always welcome.

Join HFACT

Membership of HFACT is the most direct way of becoming involved, especially if you are in some way affected by, or care for someone with, a bleeding disorder. Help us to help you.

Volunteer

The services and support that HFACT provides would not be possible without the support of our volunteers. Not all our volunteers come from within our membership. There are regular opportunities for volunteering.

We especially need volunteers to help with fundraising and publicity events.

If you would like to be involved as a volunteer, contact our President. See Contact Us for details.

Donate Blood

Maintaining a blood supply for emergencies is an essential part of Australia’s medical services.

Although most treatment for bleeding disorders no longer relies on blood donations, there is still a need for blood donors for some bleeding disorders and of course as an essential service for the general community.

If you are interested in donating blood, contact Australian Red Cross Lifeblood
