HFACT is holding a family BBQ/Picnic lunch, or “Spring Fling”, at the Nara Peace Park on Sunday 20th October to celebrate spring and wrap up several other events this month.
Bleeding Disorders Awareness Week
The day for the Spring Fling coincides with the last day of Bleeding Disorders Awareness Week (BDAW), that runs from Monday 14th October to the following Sunday. Traditionally we invite members to make one day during that week their “Red Cake Day”. While we encourage you to hold your own Red Cake Day during BDAW, it will be fun if red cakes are a part of the Spring Fling BBQ. So, consider bringing along a red cake (or cupcakes). Who knows, we might even have a prize for best decorated cake.
2019 Conference Debrief
The 19th Australian Conference on haemophilia, VWD and rare bleeding disorders will conclude the weekend before the Spring Fling. Spring Fling will be an opportunity for members who attended the conference to share their experience with other HFACT members.
