We have some exciting news to share! The much anticipated HFACT Coastal Camp is just around the corner, scheduled for 14-16 November. It’s going to be an incredible event filled with fun and engaging activities, all set against the backdrop of our beautiful coast.
This weekend getaway is designed to bring together people in the bleeding disorders community for connection, education and relaxation by the sea. Families and individuals are invited to stay in comfortable cabin accommodation, enjoy meals together and participate in a variety of planned activities in a supportive and welcoming environment. Catering will include lunch and dinner each day, along with light breakfasts, so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
The weekend will feature a mix of informative and fun sessions, including: a presentation from HFA Director Natashia Coco; an injection demonstration by HTC Nurse Rosamma; and plenty of opportunities to unwind with a movie night, plenty of beach time and the option to join the community at the Pavilion Aquatic Centre to experience the waterslides on Sunday. Supervised children’s activities will also be provided during the formal conference sessions, ensuring parents
can participate fully.
Thanks to generous subsidies from HFACT, the cost for two nights’ accommodation, all meals and activities is $175 for HFACT members. Coastal Camp is a chance to connect, learn and relax together – we’d love for you to join us!
To register for camp, please complete the camp registration form below by no later than Friday 10 October. Spots are limited and allocation will be based on the receipt of both the completed form and payment. If you require financial assistance to attend the camp, HFACT will consider this on a case-by-case basis – please contact us to discuss your circumstances.
We are also reaching out to our amazing community for volunteers who can help us with planning the camp and organising the activities. Your involvement would be invaluable in making this camp a memorable and enjoyable experience for all participants. Whether you have experience in event planning or simply want to lend a helping hand, we would love to have you on board. If you’re interested in volunteering, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at [email protected].
